The Observation Sheet for Repeating Cycles is the foundation for developing standardized work. This short video provides instructions on how to fill out the sheet with content, sequence, timing, location, and expected outcome of each process.

The Standardized Work Combination Table is the graphic representation of the cycle compared to the takt time. The symbols help visualize the waste and show the interactions between the operator and the equipment.

The Balance Chart is a visual to help balance the work between operators if more then one are required to meet the takt time.  The stacked bar graph created with the symbols in the legend help build a picture of the work content, periodic work per cycle, walking, and fluctuating work.
